Sampo was born on one All Saints' day in arctic Finland, in the city of Oulu. He got an international upbringing from the start, spending his summers in Lapland and Britain.

From an early age on he displayed an evident creative edge, finding new an innovative ways to express himself. In school he was part grade A student, part enfant terrible.

He moved to the city of Turku to study Film Art, and did a lot of work in front of the camera as well. Some of this material is somewhat dubious; money-hungry friends might release it to a wider audience should his star begin shining any brighter.

He then proceeded to relocate to Helsinki, where he pursued a career in television. Channel Four Finland hired him as a presenter and he did three tv shows of his own, winning over viewers and alienating others with his engaging and subtle anarchistic personality.

He has also been involved in a variety of other projects around the globe.

At the moment Sampo is working on combining his visual talents with a career in music. His partner in crime is Petra Lampinen, a long-time accomplice. Together they have created music that is melodic, contemporary and at times happily politically incorrect.
